GENEGRA is in a family of medications chemically known as phosphodiesterase inhibitors. These drugs enhance the effects of nitric oxide, a chemical messenger that relaxes smooth muscles in the penis. Description

GENEGRA are available as mint-flavored, edible breath strips for oral administration and treatment of erectile dysfunction. Each strip contains 25mg of sildenafil, and the following inactive ingredients: Gelling Agents (Sodium Alginate, Carrageenan, Xanthium Gum, Locust Bean Gum), Water, Bulking Agents (Hydroxyl, Propyl Starch, Microcrystalline Cellulose), Glazing Agents (Nicotinamide, Sodium Citrates),Humectants (Glycerol), Sweeteners (Sorbitol, Aspartame, Sucralose, Acesulfame K), Flavorings, Acidity Regulators (Citric Acid and Mint/Menthol), Emulsifier (Sucrose Fatty Acid Esters), Color (FD&C Yellow # 6).

Active Ingredient

The active pharmaceutical ingredient in GENEGRA is a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophospate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) called sidenafil.

Benefits

Edible formulary strips provide a sublingual administration route and near immediate absorption. The strip dissolves on the tongue to provide results in 30 minutes in some men and is proven to last up to 12 hours. * Individual results may vary. Studies indicate that taking 50 mg GENEGRA (two strips) enhances a man’s capacity, for up to 12 hours, to perform intercourse successfully at least once. The efficacy of GENEGRATM to enhance performance for more than one sexual session per dosage has not been studied.

Before using

GENEGRA can give you very satisfying results and relief from your ED symptoms. But as with any new medical regimen, it is prudent to consult with a medical care giver before beginning.
Make sure you give your doctor a list of all your medical conditions and the medications you are taking. If you’ve been told that robust sexual activity could cause a cardiac event, discuss other options with your doctor.
Don’t take GENEGRA if you’ve had a heart attack, stroke or life-threatening heart rhythm during the last six months.
Don't take GENEGRA if you take medications containing nitrates. Medications containing nitrates are sometimes used to treat symptoms of heart disease – for example, pain in the chest, jaw, or down the arm. These medications – heart drugs like nitroglycerin (Nitro-Bid, etc.), isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur), and isosorbide dinitrate (Isordil) – work to dilate blood vessels. In combination with GENEGRATM, they may cause a sudden, unsafe drop in blood pressure, dizziness, circulation and heart problems.
If you are taking GENEGRA, don't drink excessive amounts of alcohol. Excessive alcohol consumption in combination with GENEGRA may result in dizziness or low blood pressure.
The most commonly reported side effects of GENEGRA (headache, upset stomach, backache and muscle pain) did not disturb the users enough for them to discontinue use.
In rare instances, ED medication users have reported a priapism (an erection lasting more than four hours). If this occurs, seek immediate medical assistance.
ED medication users have, in rare instances, reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision. It has not been possible to determine if there is a direct relationship between these occurrences and the medication or other causal factors. As with any medication, if these symptoms occur, you should immediately contact your medical care giver.
